The Society of Educational Arts Inc. (SEA), New York City's premier bilingual arts-in-education organization and Latino Theatre Company for young audiences, presents La Cucarachita Martina. This well-known tale originated as an oral tradition and was later adapted to literary form.
Teatro SEA will have audiences laughing, singing and loving Martina! When Martina discovers a penny and buys a tin of face powder, suddenly everyone wants to marry her. But what this lady roach wants is friendship, kindness, thoughtfulness and sharing. Join Teatro SEA for a bilingual (Spanish/English) tale that's as cute and silly as Martina herself.
