It's the Ghastly Dreadfuls' farewell run at the Center for Puppetry Arts. The Ghastly Dreadfuls returns from beyond the grave October 11-27, 2012 to entertain and spook theater fans ages 16 and up. This show isn't for those who take life (or death) too seriously-with eerie stories, spooky songs and devilish dances, audience members will be taken to a world beyond this mortal plane.
A winner of the 2012 UNIMA Citation of Excellence Award, The Ghastly Dreadfuls has become one of Atlanta's favorite Halloween traditions over the past six years. Created by the Center's Jon Ludwig and Jason von Hinezmeyer in 2006, this cult classic has included a variety of 11 characters, 14 stories and 18 songs over the course of its six year run. In "The Last Ghast" this undead crew will unearth the best and most popular stories in their coffin of tricks.
The Dreadfuls dare audience members to get in on the ghoulish action and wear their creepiest couture to the show. As always, at the closing performance on October 27th, a special Halloween costume contest (with prizes) will be held during intermission, so guests should dress to impress!
The Ghastly Dreadfuls by Jon Ludwig and Jason von Hinezmeyer runs October 11 – October 27, 2012 in the Center for Puppetry Arts' Downstairs Theater. Performances are held Wednesday – Saturday nights at 8pm. For those wishing to imbibe, beer and wine will be sold at the "Tavern of Lost Souls" cash bar before the show and during intermission.
**This show is recommended for ages 16 and up; guests under 14 will not be admitted.
