Designed for theater-loving kids, ages 10-17, the 5-day program enables aspiring artists to develop their confidence, character and presentation skills through ensemble performance. This year performers will enjoy 40 hours of classes in singing, dancing and acting as they learn the story of young, ambitious J. Pierrepont Finch, who, with the help of the book How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, rises from window washer to chairman of the board of the World Wide Wicket Company. Camp Broadway Kids will learn and perform such popular songs as "Coffee Break," "I Believe in You," "Paris Original" and "Brotherhood of Man" at the annual Family Finale that will be held at the Rialto Center for the Arts.
"Atlanta is now a second home to Camp Broadway," says Susan E. Lee, Founder. "We are proud to help cultivate the next generation of actors and audiences. Now that kids will be learning the story featured in How To Succeed, we might also inspire a future entrepreneur-who can sing and tap."
Camp Broadway is held from 8:30 am - 5 pm at the Rialto Center. Enrollment includes the official t-shirts, rehearsal materials, healthy lunches, snacks and more. No experience is necessary. Space is limited. To learn more about the program or to register for camp in Atlanta, please visit www.campbroadway.com.
Camp Broadway is presented in Atlanta in association with Broadway in Atlanta. Camp Broadway is the recipient of the Ovation Award for Excellence from the Educational Theatre Association and the 2014 Best of New York Award for helping to make the city a great place to live and work.
