Critical Crop Top returns to The Village Theatre this August with their popular live sketch comedy show featuring their exciting assortment of sketch comedy, music, and spoken word poetry.

After an exciting opening to their 'Summer of Sketch' series this June at the historic Highland Inn Ballroom Lounge with their first show in the series "Artificially Intelligent," Critical Crop Top is excited to get back on stage with their newest creation "Critical Crop Top Does Real Theatre."

Best known for their comedic short films, web series, and the Feminine Mistake Podcast, Critical Crop Top is a women-run Production Company on a mission to produce comedic content from a feminist perspective and provide opportunities for women and minorities to write, direct, and perform their own material. Critical Crop Top engages audiences by telling new, fresh, and fun stories from their unique point of view.

"Critical Crop Top Does Real Theatre" hits the stage on August 4th and 5th at 8pm. Written, directed, and performed by Nicole Kemper, Hillary R. Heath, Sarah Alison Hodges, Patrick Morgan, Jasmine Waters, BranDon Mitchell, Brian Ashton Smith, and Melissa Kunnap, the show will also include performances by musical guest Lauren Schmuck and spoken word poet Jon Goode. Tickets are available at www.criticalcroptop.com for $10.

Uplifted by the success of their past two shows, CCT brings the community brand new sketches, a mix of fan favorites and new performers, new musical guests and poetry by local Atlanta artists. "Critical Crop Top Does Real Theatre" will focus on the unintentional sexism and racism in classical and modern theatre and how comedy is a vital commentary on society. Critical Crop Top blends a mix of classic physical comedy, political satire, and fart jokes to give audiences an evening full of thought provoking socially conscious comedy and pee-in-your-pants laughter.

Founded by Nicole Kemper, Hillary R. Heath, and Sarah Alison Hodges, Critical Crop Top is a collective of artists and comedians creating comedic content with a focus on women's stories. The women of Critical Crop Top produce content from unique perspectives and give voice to women, men, and gender non-conforming artists who are interested in providing social commentary in a comedic light.
