The Suzi Bass Awards celebrate excellence in Metro Atlanta's professional theatre community. As Atlanta's version of the Tony Awards, it invigorates the arts economy and community through increased exposure and visibility, increasing the audience base for both theatres and artists.
Five judges see qualifying shows on opening night, then score the various elements. These scores are averaged for each judge, then for the production as a whole. Based on those scores and according to the published formula, the judging chair determines whether the rest of the judging panel should see the show for end-of-season Nominations and final voting."Suzi Recommended" means the whole judging panel will see it, and that the show is in the running for Nominations at the end of the season. Since Members of the Suzi Awards may vote on the final ballot, they should be sure to catch recommended shows! There are only two more weekends to see "Children's Letters to Go".Videos
