Principal Guest Conductor Donald Runnicles will lead the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra in Beethoven's Triple Concerto - the only concerto Beethoven wrote for more than one solo instrument - featuring Music Director Robert Spano on piano, Concertmaster David Coucheron, and Principal Cello Christopher Rex. The concerts will take place May 9-11, 2013, at 8:00 p.m., in Atlanta Symphony Hall at Woodruff Arts Center.

"One of the best parts of working with Robert Spano is not just collaborating with him offstage, but the fact that we get to perform with one another. He's a tremendous pianist and we've collaborated numerous times before. We were both very eager to repeat this partnership onstage again, which is why we decided to bring the Beethoven Triple Concerto to the audiences of Atlanta this season," Mr. Runnicles said.

The program will also include Beethoven's Egmont Overture and Walton's Symphony No. 1.
