From the fiendish minds at Bang! Arts Promotions comes El Fantasma! A paranormal circus event celebrating that backbone of Atlanta workshop theater PushPush, who for nearly 15 years has been connecting artists, cultivating film and theater projects, co-creating striking international shows, and providing Atlanta with a one way ticket to new heights of theatrical experience. This one night only event will feature the musical stylings of Ghosts Project along with the high flying improvisational hi-jinx of Flight of Swallows. Spend an evening being tempted by the luscious cupcake treats of The Sugar Dolls as you are astounded by the talents of the renowned Imperial Opa Circus. There will be a special guest appearance by Madame de la Mita, maven of the tarot cards, along with a silent auction with fine art, Cirque du Soleil tickets, and much more. All will benefit PushPush as they launch their latest projects, including global projects for the 100th Anniversary of Tennessee Williams' birth and new episodes of Slow Down Atlanta, an episodic adventure into the lives of five thirty-somethings who start a paranormal services company for beer money. Run away and join the circus at El Fantasma!

PushPush brings exciting collaborations to Atlanta artists and audiences, making connections and opportunities for over 300 film and theater artists each year. The new projects are fruits of their 15-year labor to connect with new ideas globally in order to create new opportunities here at home. As part of their flagship program The Portal Project, these events not only inspire our Atlanta audiences, they empower our community of creators; opening doors for performance festivals, artistic networks, and scores of new resources for hundreds of artists. These upcoming events are also a critical part of PushPush's new vision: to be a globally-connected hub for developing innovators in performance and new media. Resourcefulness built their programs. The impact of presenting these new projects in Atlanta will be palpable. They are asking the community to partner in creating and bringing the new work here.

PushPush hopes patrons who can't attend the event will consider a new "Bring IT!" sponsorship. These donations will be recognized in programs for the event and shows, in their e-newsletter, and on their brand-spanking-new-n-improved Website, set to launch in December, thanks to Zenith Design Group. Bring IT! sponsors will also be honorary guests for ALL of the Portal Project shows (including Slow Down Atlanta) in 2010-2011.

What's AFOOT at THE PUSH...what the money will support:

-Show and artist exchange with Berlin's Ballhaus Ost and English Theater Berlin for the 100th anniversary of Tennessee Williams in 2011, specifically around a unique production of Baby Doll.

-Creation of a new exchange partnership with Teatar Exit and MMKERNAL in Zagreb, Croatia - touring two new shows back and forth with international and local artists.

-Matching grant to premiere and tour Murray Mednick's powerful new play Borderline, a dangerous and funny yarn about divorce, adoption and the struggle to live a meaningful life amidst the toil - a comedy!

-Production and tour of an exciting new script, Drift, by Shanghai's Nick Yu - a premiere production with our first Asian partner.

-Slow Down Atlanta, a comedy series staged live and then filmed utilizing local and guest actors, directors and writers.

And much more...too much to include here. Get involved, support, and participate - start at the circus!
