Lee Blessing's baseball play, Oldtimers Game, brings the drama of the locker room to the stage.

It's the summer of 1981 and the day of the Oldtimers game for the Northshore Minnesota Otters. Current and former Otters gather together in the wake of the team being taken over by a new owner. The new owner plans to attend the Oldtimers game to watch the current players for possible moves to major league. When the game gets rained out, the players must sit around the locker room and await their fate. The oldtimers have a lesson or two for the current players as they face uncertain futures in their sport.

The cast features Jermal Collins as Sut Davis, Stanley Heaton as Harley Nix, Jules Esquivel as Jesus Luna, Matthew Carter Jones as "Lucky" Jim Nealy, John Edward Doyle, Jr. as Dave Pearl, Mark Arnold as Crab Detlefsen, Tom Dykes as Old John Law, Lee Buechele as Cal Timmer, and Stephen Banks as Mr. Thompson.

Oldtimers Game is directed by David Buice. Buice received the 2014 Metro Atlanta Theater Award for Best Director for Northside United Methodist Church's production of 33 Variations.

Oldtimers Game plays in the Faith and Arts Center of Northside United Methodist Church (2799 Northside Drive NW, Atlanta, GA 30305) on February 26-28, 2015 at 7:30pm. Tickets are $15 at the door before each performance. For more information, visit www.drama.northsideumc.org.
