Laugh out loud this holiday season with Aurora Theatre's return of the delicious one-woman show, The 12 Dates of Christmas, entertaining audiences today, November 28-December 19! While the most wonderful time of the year beckons outward displays of affection, Aurora sweetheart Jaclyn Hofmann takes audiences on a different adventure into the mishaps of one woman's attempt to get her jingle back in the world of dating! A limited four-week engagement, this holiday smash-hit is perfect for any occasion.
"What makes The 12 Dates of Christmas a classic holiday hit is the contemporary Christmas story it shares and its relatable content," said Anthony Rodriguez, Producing Artistic Director. "Hofmann shines in the role of Mary, and we can't wait to have her return to the stage for her third year!"
While watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, Mary is devastated as she watches her fiancé kiss another woman on national TV. Over the next year, Mary is set up, hooked up, strung up and fed up as she stumbles back into the dating scene. Written by American Shakespeare Center's Ginna Hoben and directed by Kelly Criss, this limited four-week engagement is perfect for date night, ladies night out or to celebrate the season with a side of laughter solo!
While Hofmann is alone onstage, she is supported by the stellar work of design team Britt Ramroop (set), James M. Helms (lights), Daniel Terry (sound/technical director), Sarah Thomson (scenic artist) and costumes by Katie Pelkey, Jaclyn Hofmann and Jelly Criss.
Recommended for teens and adults, The 12 Dates of Christmas is presented November 28-December 29. Tickets range from $20-$30 and can be purchased online at tickets.auroratheatre.com or by calling the Box Office at 678-226-6222.
