Aurora Theatre Funny Fridays continues club comedy performances on the square in downtown Lawrenceville, welcoming two exceptionally talented comedians, Dan Mengini and Joe Morrison. These funnymen are tried and true veterans of the comedy club circuit who are thrilled to be making their debut on the Aurora Theatre Funny Fridays stage January 21, at 7:15 and 9:15 PM.

About the Comedians
UGA alumni, comedian Dan Mengini is nicknamed "The Machine" for his rapid-fire performance style that moves at a frenetic, but entertaining pace. Mengini's material is a family-friendly mix of one-liners and funny stories about his Italian father and a point of view that brings the world's design flaws into the spotlight. One of Atlanta's most consistent performers for the last decade, Mengini is a big draw on college tours and spends the majority of his weekends on the road headlining clubs nationwide. Funny Fridays patrons may recognize Dan from his numerous television appearances. He plays the role of Judd on Adult Swim's The Rising Son. Other notable television appearances include a recurring role on The CW's One Tree Hill, and a co-starring role with Liza Minnelli, Delta Burke, and Rosie O'Donnell on Lifetime TV's Drop Dead Diva.

Joe Morrison has been performing stand-up professionally for more than 17 years. He has appeared on Comedy Central. Joe's list of credits also includes numerous appearances on the Bob and Tom Show as well as The Johnboy and Billy Show. Joe can easily adapt his stage persona and material to accommodate just about any audience situation. He specializes in making uncomfortable situations and subjects funny with a clever, upbeat point of view. Currently, Joe headlines at clubs across the nation and has opened for another local favorite, Ron White.
