The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra will host its fourth annual Symphony Gala on Saturday, March 8, 2014, at the Woodruff Arts Center in Atlanta. The evening will include a performance by Tony Award winner Audra McDonald with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Orchestra's Talent Development Program - which identifies musically-gifted and motivated African American and Latino instrumentalists and prepares them for acceptance into top music programs in preparation for careers as professional musicians. Proceeds will benefit the Orchestra and its Education and Community programs. Tickets will be available for purchase beginning Friday, November 8, 2013.

The 2014 Symphony Gala is chaired by Orchestra board member Ed Labry, Vice Chairman of First Data Corporation. The patron chair is longtime ASO supporter and volunteer Annie-York Trujillo. Ingrid Saunders Jones - former Coca-Cola Company Senior Vice President of Global Community Connections and former Chair of The Coca-Cola Foundation - has been named Honorary Chair of the event.

Patron guests will begin their evening at 6:00 p.m. with a pre-concert cocktail reception in the Stent Atrium at the High Museum of Art.

At 7:30 p.m., Ms. McDonald - a versatile performer known most recently for her role as Dr. Naomi Bennett on the ABC television drama "Private Practice" - will perform popular Broadway selections and classical favorites with members of the Orchestra in Atlanta Symphony Hall.

Following the concert, patron guests will enjoy a seated dinner in the Taylor Lobby of the High Museum of Art. Throughout the evening, patrons will have the opportunity to bid on luxury items at a silent auction.

After dinner, the lounge-style after party in the Stent Atrium will also feature cocktails, coffee, desserts, and live entertainment.

The evening's attire is black tie.

Proceeds from the 2014 Symphony Gala will benefit the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and its Education and Community Programs, which include programs such as the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra and Talent Development Program, as well as support partnerships with local community institutions and create a wide variety of musical and educational experiences for citizens of all ages.

Additional details about the Symphony Gala and the ticket packages - starting at $1,000 - are available at www.aso.org/gala. Single concert tickets, starting at $37.50, will be available on Friday, November 8, 2013, at atlantasymphony.org or by calling 404.733.5000. Tickets may also be purchased at www.ticketmaster.com, all Ticketmaster outlets, and the Woodruff Arts Center Box Office, located in the Woodruff Arts Center at 15th and Peachtree Streets.
