Atlanta PlanIt announces the launch of a powerful new partnership with ArtsATL to produce the most complete online guide to arts and cultural entertainment in the metro area.

This new collaboration offers in-depth news and reviews from ArtsATL and an extensive arts calendar from Atlanta PlanIt in a comprehensive manner not previously available in Atlanta.

"ArtsATL is thrilled to be working with Atlanta PlanIt," said Catherine Fox, Executive Director of ArtsATL. "Our partnership makes both websites the definitive destination spots for information, news and reviews about Atlanta's thriving arts scene."

Beginning today, visitors to both AtlantaPlanIt.com and ArtsATL.com have access to content from both publications that is easily accessible from each publication's Web site. Atlanta PlanIt.com features a new content page highlighting ArtsATL's latest news and in-depth reviews (www.atlantaplanit.com/artsatl), and event listings are enhanced with links to related reviews. ArtsATL also features a link to Atlanta PlanIt on its calendar page, giving readers access to Atlanta PlanIt's extensive events calendar (www.artsatl.com/calendar).

"Critical reviews are essential to navigating arts events in Atlanta," said Kimberly Harbrecht, Operations Manager of Atlanta PlanIt. "This partnership gives Atlanta PlanIt users access to respected reviews that will help them evaluate which of Atlanta's many events they would enjoy attending."

Atlanta PlanIt and ArtsATL first explored this partnership upon recognizing each publication's strengths and visibility in the community. ArtsATL was founded in 2009 by award-winning professional critics and journalists in response to the decline of arts coverage in local media. It has since grown into one of the city's most respected resources for arts news and reviews. Atlanta PlanIt was first established in 2004 by the Metro Atlanta Arts and Culture Coalition (MAACC) to provide a much-needed resource to Atlanta's thriving arts community. It has established working relationships with more than 450 local arts organizations to publish the most comprehensive arts calendar in the metro area.

"Whether a user is a seasoned attendee or a newcomer to the arts, this new content will serve as a real asset to the user and hopefully generate more conversations about local arts journalism," said Harbrecht.
