The Atlanta Fringe Festival is thrilled to kick off an ambitious 2016 fundraising campaign with an exciting new sponsorship. In honor of the landmark 5th edition of the annual performing arts festival, set to take place June 8-12 in venues around Little Five Points and Candler Park, the Fringe is launching a campaign to raise $10,000, with email marketing superstars MailChimp providing matching funds for every dollar raised towards that goal.
The 2016 campaign, the most ambitious to date for the burgeoning arts festival, seeks to lay new groundwork in anticipation of a long life as an integral part of the Atlanta arts community. In addition to their usual goals of providing support for the festival's artists and technicians, the Fringe is working towards adding a full-time paid staff position for their Executive Director. This full-time staff member would greatly increase the Atlanta Fringe's capacity to serve self-producing artists throughout the year, as well as to produce their own original content, teach classes, and develop youth programming.
In addition, Fringe is expanding to include 24 companies (this year from 10 different states), free family-friendly street performances in partnership with Horizon Theatre, and a complimentary shuttle to bus patrons back and forth between the different venues. This shuttle will also include short performances by local musicians, comedians and storytellers, so the celebration of Atlanta artists never has stop. The funds from this year's campaign will support all of the aforementioned programs, while enabling the festival to keep ticket prices low and allow artists to keep a whopping 85% of their take at the box office.

Sponsorship levels range from $10 "Seed" to $500 "Honeypot" (in keeping with the Fringe's beehive theme) with incentives including free artwork, sidewalk chalk "Walk of Fame" recognition in front of 7 Stages, and free cookies. Who doesn't like free cookies?
