Atlanta's premier New Year's Eve event, "The Downtown Countdown", returns to the Hyatt Regency Atlanta featuring 5 party areas with 5 bands, 3 DJ's, 4 comedians and Atlanta's largest midnight hotel balloon drop. The focal point of the party is the Metromix Centennial Ballroom hosted by 92.9 Dave FM featuring one of rock's biggest acts with nine Top 10 hits, "Ed Kowalczyk of LIVE" as well as Grammy award winning hip-hop trio, "Naughty by Nature". DJ Jammin Dave will be spinning between bands and Death is Dialogue will be opening act as the winner of the Band 2 Band Combat charity event contest that raised money for Music For More which helps place instruments in music school programs. The two other main party area will feature DJ Suspense with his video remix on 2 screens in the Regency Ballroom & Lethal Rhythms Entertainment in the Grand Hall Ballroom hosted by Wild FM 105.7 & 96.7. The Hanover Ballroom will feature local rock cover bands Unzipt & Blind Crush and the Punchline Comedy Lounge will feature comedians: Marcus Harvey, Shalewa Sharpe, Tushar Singh & Dan Weeks.
