Local production company, Dynamo Models, will be premiering the web series That's Educational at a launch party and viewing event on Tuesday, May 13 at One Twelve Gallery (112 Krog Street, Suite 5/Atlanta, Georgia 30307). Doors will open at 8:00pm with a viewing starting around 8:30pm.

Created by Eric Mendenhall and Matthew Myers, "That's Educational" is a comic mocumentary web series about a traveling educational theatre. The story centers around the exploits of 6 actors and the company that sends them out on the road to use theatre as a way to teach young people valuable lessons (7 different shows, 267 dates a year). While the show itself focuses on the hilarity that ensues out on the road, it is also about the personalities of these characters and the idea that no one understands your misery more than people going through it with you.

The entire cast is comprised of local professional theatre artists who have collectively worked at every professional theatre company in town. In addition, between these artists, they have taken television and film by storm working on such projects as The Walking Dead, Lawless, 42, Drop Dead Diva, Revolution, Trouble with the Curve, Million Dollar Arm, Franklin & Bash, Georgia Lottery Commercials, Walmart Commercials, and many more. We are pleased to have culled together the talents of Nick Arapoglou, Bryan Brendle, Kara Cantrell, Suehyla El-Attar, Bart Hansard, Jenny Holden, Jimi Kocina, Cara Mantella, Eric Mendenhall, Bill Murphey, and Matthew Myers.

Eric Mendenhall, co-creator of the series, serves as lead producer. Best known for his plays Stray Dogs and Spoon: The Musical, Matthew Myers (co-creator) serves as head writer for That's Educational. In addition, Atlanta award-winning director, Justin Anderson, directs the series. Chris Bartelski serves as the director of photography.
