Aurora Theatre will present the final performance of the longest-running American Broadway musical ever, A CHORUS LINE, on September 4, 2011. A Chorus Line will be the largest musical in Aurora Theatre history with 26 actors and a live band. The performances will explode into the intimate 250-seat auditorium, truly making the audience feel like they are a part of the experience.
America's fascination with the pain and exhilaration of an audition is nothing new. Before American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance, Michael Bennett and his team of artists, through countless hours of recorded conversations, improvisation and development, created the work that would inspire these types of shows and many others. A Chorus Line is an unconventionally personal audition portrayed live onstage in real time. Feel the drama of these dancers who convey the hope and pain of what they do for love, putting everything on the line to fulfill their dream of winning a role in a Broadway musical. Crossing the line between Broadway and the pop charts, A Chorus Line contains many iconic melodies, including; What I Did for Love, At the Ballet and One! (Singular Sensation).Ricardo Aponte Don Kerr
