Collective 51 Marches On!

Friday, March 15 at 8:00 PM

Each month, some of Atlanta's finest female improvisers perform 90 minutes of short-form games, scenes and things we create because you told us to. We're a rotating cast of performers, with the goal of meeting new people and to see what it's like to have a less male-dominated show not that there's anything wrong with men, of course. We love 'em!

Tickets are $10.00 online and $15 at door. To purchase tickets online - go to: http://www.brownpapertickets.com/producer/20154 or email us at academytheatre30002@yahoo.com or call 404-474-8332.

ARTC now brings their own take to the story of discovery, revenge, and the magic of the underwater realm with this world-premiere performance by established author and playwright Brad Strickland and audio producer David Benedict. Listeners will be truly immersed in the wonder and majesty of the sea in this live radio play!

Audiences will also be treated to examples of how the classic radio dramas were performed with actors on microphone, live Foley sound effects, and a soundscape that encourages the listener to imagine for themselves a setting they are unlikely to see in any other live theatrical show or even the biggest Hollywood blockbuster!

Tickets are $10.00 online and $15 at door. To purchase tickets online - go to: http://www.brownpapertickets.com/producer/20154 or email us at academytheatre30002@yahoo.com or call 404-474-8332.

THE LIAR'S CHILD - Working Title Playwrights

Tuesday, March 26 at 7:30 PM

Working Title Playwrights - is proud to present The Liar's Child by Sharon Mathis as part of their signature series, The Ethel Woolson Lab.

A legacy of violence. Accusations, delusions, and lies. Is killing in the genes? A son must choose between parents, and do an unspeakable wrong for the right reason. In the nightmare of living with his act, Orestes discovers the truth about his family and a promise of peace.

Based on Aeschylus' "Oresteia", the play is history told by the outsiders- women, children, and servants. As it unfolds inside Orestes' head, time is fluid; the dead can resurrect; and the living become demons or gods. The story is as old as myth and as new as a dream.

This staged reading is part of Working Title Playwrights Ethel Woolsen Lab Program sponsored by a grant from the Hellen Ingram Plummer Charitable Foundation. The grant from the Hellen Ingram Plummer Charitable Foundation will help WTP fortify and expand its showcase program, the Ethel Woolson Lab. The Ethel Woolson Lab brings together the top playwrights, directors, and actors in the Atlanta theatre community for meaningful collaboration in the creation of new, full-length plays for the stage.

Tickets are $10.00 at door. RSVP to managing@workingtitleplaywrights.com.

The reading will take place at Academy Theatre, located at 119 Center Street, in Avondale Estates, GA, at 7:30 p.m., with $10 tickets available at door.
