Cast members of [title of show] will sing, discuss and sign copies of their Original Cast Recording during a Thursday, July 31st, 5:30pm in-store performance Borders at Time Warner Center.

The NY Times' Charles Isherwood praised the Broadway production as an "obsessively and hilariously self-referential show," and a "peculiar and quite adorable musical."

Ghostlight's in-store for the OCR celebrates the recent Broadway premiere of [title of show], and continues the label's efforts to promote the music of the most innovative new voices on the Broadway scene.

Ghostlight's recent releases of the OCRs for Tony winners In The Heights and Passing Strange, as well as their single release featuring the winner of MTV's Legally Blonde The Musical competition, have brought the label acclaim for their innovative marketing techniques and their efforts to reach the next generation of Broadway music fans via iTunes, music videos and more.

The new, original Broadway musical [title of show] opened on July 17 at the Lyceum Theatre (149 West 45th Street) to rave reviews. [title of show] is produced on Broadway by Kevin McCollum, Jeffrey Seller, Roy Miller, Laura Camien, Kris Stewart and The Vineyard Theatre.

[title of show] has music and lyrics by Jeff Bowen, book by Hunter Bell and is directed by Michael Berresse[title of show] Jeff Bowen,Hunter Bell, Susan Blackwell and Heidi Blickenstaff. Larry Pressgrove is musical director.

[title of show] takes a thoroughly unique look at the pleasures and perils of the artistic process as two struggling writers and two struggling actresses take on the seemingly impossible task of creating a new musical about creating a new musical. With Broadway as their destination, the quartet lives on raw nerve, unbridled hopes and take-out food as pressures mount, deadlines loom, day jobs intrude and friendships strain in this funny and unforgettable look at the birth of a musical as it finally comes to life on the Great White Way.

The indomitable spirit of succeeding -- against all odds -- as depicted by both the play and its players has demonstrated broad appeal to people of all ages and stripes since [title of show] debuted in 2004 at the New York Musical Theatre Festival, followed by its Off-Broadway debut in 2006 at The Vineyard Theatre.  Jeff Bowen,Hunter Bell, and Michael Berresse each won a 2006 Obie Award for their work on [title of show].

Last year the creators of [title of show] began what has become a wildly popular internet series "The [title of show] Show."  (To view episodes on "The [title of show] Show," log on to www.titleofshow.com/toscasts.htm)  Thus far in nine episodes, "The [title of show] Show" has chronicled the anticipation and angst the creators and cast experienced while plotting the show's path to Broadway.

[title of show] opened on Broadway on July 17 at the Lyceum Theatre (149 West 45th Street) to such rave reviews as: "This fresh new musical is something worth cheering. [title of show] is far funnier than many of the more manufactured musicals that make it to Broadway these days," New York Times. "[title of show] is as spunky and smart as it is reflective and brazen. You don't have to make theater to identify with [title of show], you just have to want something meaningful," Philadelphia Inquirer. "Clever and tuneful and bursting with charm…[title of show] is a funny, big-hearted portrait of creativity, friendship and chasing your crazy dreams," NY1 News. "A joy from start to finish - original, clever, and surprisingly moving," New Yorker. "Some of the best laughs on Broadway! [title of show] has an appealing universality in its tale of the struggle and satisfaction of pursuing a seemingly impossible dream," Bergen Record.
