Vineyard Theatre will present a developmental lab production of AND NOW THIS IS HAPPENING - a new theatre piece conceived and written by Hunter Bell and Susan Blackwell, with original music by Jeff Bowen, Susan Blackwell & Larry Pressgrove, created by Hunter Bell, Michael Berresse, Susan Blackwell, Heidi Bickenstaff, Jeff Bowen and Larry Pressgrove. The piece will be directed by Michael Berresse, with musical direction and arrangements by Larry Pressgrove in spring 2011 at the non-profit Vineyard Theatre (108 East 15th Street) in Manhattan.
After premiering the award winning musical [title of show] before its subsequent move to Broadway, The Vineyard is thrilled to welcome back the extraordinarily talented [title of show] gang with a brand new work entitled AND NOW THIS IS HAPPENING. Tony Award nominee Hunter Bell, Susan Blackwell and the full [title of show] company return to The Vineyard stage to develop and launch their latest creation.
Vineyard's developmental lab productions are closed to the press, giving artists and Vineyard members a rare opportunity to participate in the birth of a new work-in-progress. In addition to the lab production of AND NOW THIS IS HAPPENING, Vineyard Theatre's 2010-2011 season will include the previously announced productions of Will Eno's MIDDLETOWN in fall 2010, and Lerner & Lane's musical ON A CLEAR DAY YOU CAN SEE FOREVER reconceived and directed by Michael Mayer in winter 2011.
