i-D, the iconic British fashion and lifestyle publication, celebrated the launch of its reimagined online presence (i-D.co) with Future Fashion on Wednesday, November 20, 2013. The Private event was held at Cedar Lake in Manhattan and featured a stunning, interactive fashion show presenting the designs of three emerging British designers - Claire Barrow, Ashley Williams, and Ryan Lo. Chris Keating from the band Yeasayer created original music for the show, in collaboration with Radical Friend. Nguzunguzu and Jubilee performed live DJ sets at the event.

The presentation consisted of a live, fifteen-minute choreographed fashion show. Models Hanne Gaby, Grace Mahary, and Devon Windsor transformed into holographic versions of themselves, while projections showcasing the influences behind the designers' collections transformed the environment around them. An original score by Chris Keating also reflected the designers' influences.

Launched on November 15, the new i-D.co is an innovative, video-driven site, which profiles the most captivating personalities in fashion and culture; examines the intersection of fashion and music, film and design; and debuts up-and-coming talent and emerging trends around the globe.

i-D's online launch is executed in collaboration with VICE Media, which acquired the publication in December 2012. Utilizing the knowledge gleaned from transforming a punk magazine into a digital powerhouse, VICE is helping to drive i-D's own aesthetic into the global digital sphere.

ABOUT i-D
Throughout decades, i-D has built its reputation as a consistent source of inspiration in fashion culture. It began as a fanzine dedicated to the street style of punk-era London in 1980, and quickly earned its position at the vanguard of fashion and style, always abiding by the premise of "Originate. Don't imitate." i-D has come a long way since its pre-digital, cut-and-paste days and has developed into a glossy magazine that documents fashion and contemporary culture, breaking ground along the way. Constantly reinventing itself, as with the new digital platform, i-D continues to encourage creativity, which is why after more than 30 years, its editorial content still manages to surprise and inspire.
