On August 10th, 2008 Charlotte d'Amboise will play her last performance at Cassie, and Jessica Lee Goldyn will play her last performance at Val in the Broadway musical A Chorus Line.
The current Broadway production of The Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning musical A Chorus Line will play its final performance on Broadway Sunday, August 17, 2008, at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre (236 W 45th St). The closing cast will feature Nick Adams (Larry), Tommy Berklund (Greg), Mike Cannon (Al), Natalie Cortez (Diana), Dena DiGiacinto (Bebe), Jenifer Foote (Val), Jessica Lee Goldyn (Cassie), Deidre Goodwin (Sheila), Bryan Knowlton (Paul), James T. Lane (Richie), Melissa Lone (Maggie), Mario Lopez (Zach), J. Elaine Marcos (Connie), Paul McGill (Mark), Heather Parcells (Judy), Adam Perry (Don), Jeffrey Schecter (Mike), Will Taylor (Bobby) and Katherine Tokarz (Kristine) in a cast of 32 that includes Deanna Agulnega, Todd Anderson, Michelle Aravena, Kurt Domoney, Joey Dudding, Eric Dysart, Lyndy Franklin, Lorin Latarro, Courtney Laine Mazza, Eric Sciotto, Kim Shriver, Grant Turner and Deone Zanotto.
Now in its second year on Broadway, the new, critically acclaimed production of A Chorus Line opened October 5, 2006 and continues to be a singular sensation at the box office having recouped the show's entire $8 million investment in 157 performances (19 weeks). A Chorus Line is directed by its original Tony Award winning co-choreographer Bob Avian, conceived and originally choreographed and directed by Michael Bennett, with a book by James Kirkwood and Nicholas Dante, music by Marvin Hamlisch and lyrics by Edward Kleban, with the original choreography re-staged by Baayork Lee. A Chorus Line is produced by John Breglio for Vienna Waits Productions. Masterworks Broadway's 2006 Broadway cast recording of A Chorus Line is available in stores nationwide.
