World-renowned archaeologist Dr. Zahi Hawass will present a special lecture on Wednesday, December 1 at the Best Buy Theater, on 7th Avenue at 44th Street in Manhattan, in conjunction with the exhibition Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs, on display until January 2, 2011 at Discovery Times Square Exposition. Dr. Hawass, secretary general of Egypt's Supreme Council of Antiquities and director of excavations at Giza, Saqqara and the Bahariya Oasis, will discuss the latest scientific discoveries about King Tut, his ongoing search for the mummies of Queen Neferiti, Cleopatra and Mark Antony, as well as new secrets discovered at the Pyramids and in the Valley of the Kings. There will be a Q&A session following the lecture, after which Dr. Hawass will autograph King Tut books.
In addition to the lecture, a limited number of tickets are available to a special VIP "Meet & Greet" reception with Dr. Hawass before the lecture. The $69 VIP ticket includes preferred seating (in the first 10 rows) at the lecture, and a special Tutankhamun exhibition souvenir.
Dr. Hawass is internationally known for his work preserving the antiquities and monuments of Egypt.
