Algonquin Theater Productions launches their youth division with a limited New York run of Ogden Nash's The Tales of Custard the Dragon: A Family Musical based on the popular books of acclaimed author Ogden Nash for four Saturdays only. February 16 - March 8, 2008.

The Tales of Custard the Dragon is a theatrical adaptation inspired by the whimsical books,
The Tales of Custard the Dragon and Custard the Dragon and
The Wicked Knight by Ogden Nash and will entertain children 3-12, and adults alike.
The score is composed by Brad Ross, the lyrics are by Danny Whitman, and Mary Hall Surface adapted the book. The award-winning creators have also had work performed by the National Symphony, The Philadelphia Orchestra, at Manhattan Theater Club, Makor, The York Theater and on CNN Radio. The production is directed by
Robert Bartley.
The cast features Danny Beiruti, Jen Faith Brown, Ethan Cadoff, Megan Loomis, Michael F. McGuirk and Jeffrey Nauman as Custard.

The Tales of Custard the Dragon runs Saturdays only, February 16, February 23, March 1 and March 8 at the new Algonquin Theater located at 123 East 24th St. (between Park and Lex) in New York City. Performances are at 11am & 2pm. Tickets: $12 adults, $8 children
Algonquin's Youth Division will also begin offering classes for children (ages toddler through teen) under the direction of Algonquin's Education Director Jennifer Fell Hayes (winner of the 2007 Yale Distinguished Teacher Award.)
