The New Mel Brooks Musical Young Frankenstein is the subject of a FOX 5 hour-long special, "Young Frankenstein: Alive on Broadway," to air this Sunday night June 29th at 5PM on Channel 5. The special, hosted by Emmy Award-winning entertainment reporter and critic Pat Collins, "Young Frankenstein: Alive on Broadway" includes exclusive backstage tours and interviews with Mel Brooks, Susan Stroman, Roger Bart, Megan Mullally and all of the stars of the hit musical.

Young Frankenstein is playing at The Hilton Theatre on Broadway.  For tickets and information, visit youngfrankensteinthemusical.com.

Collins sits down for a one-on-one interview with Gene Wilder who shares stories about his close friendship with Mel Brooks dating back to their "Young Frankenstein" film collaboration. Wilder reveals that "Puttin' on the Ritz" was his idea and caused a major dispute between them on the set of the movie.

Andrea Martin, who was nominated for a Tony Award for her role, talks to Collins from the seat of her bicycle, which she rides to the theater on matinee days. Chris Fitzgerald tells Collins he was changing his son's diaper when he got the news that he was Tony nominated.  Collins also takes viewers behind the scenes to see how actor Shuler Hensley is turned into Frankenstein's monster each night.

During a series of rare interviews with Brooks and Wilder, Collins uncovers the inspiration for bringing the classic movie to Broadway.    Additionally, Brooks shares a secret with Collins about Marty Feldman, an original cast member in the film.

The special  also includes red carpet interviews with celebrities such as Billy Crystal, Goldie Hawn, Martin Short, Walter Cronkite, Joan Rivers and Rosie O'Donnell from the show's glittery opening night sharing their favorite "Mel moments," while cast members reveal their favorite lines from the movie.
