As previously announced, the York Theatre Company will present the New York premiere of two musicals: a "New2NY" concert presentation of Jack: A Musical Drama on the Life of John F. Kennedy, and a Developmental Lab presentation of Buddy's Tavern, with book by Raymond De Felitta, music by Kim Oler, and lyrics by Alison Hubbard at The York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's (Entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue).

Jack: A Musical Drama on the Life of John F. Kennedy begins with JFK's days at Harvard through his assassination in Dallas, Jack dramatizes the life and career of JFK, while focusing on a central conflict- Jack's fight to become his own man despite a difficult relationship with his power-obsessed father, Joseph P. Kennedy, Sr. Jack examines the triumphs as well as The Shadows of the Kennedy legacy leading to the tragic event which continues to resonate with all of us 5o years later.
Jack: A Musical Drama on the Life of John F. Kennedy will play five-performances only: Friday, November 1 at 8:00 p.m., Saturday, November 2 at 2:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, November 3 at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Tickets are priced at $45.

Buddy's Tavern is based on the film Two Family House (Sundance Award), written and directed by Raymond De Felitta. Winner of the Richard Rodgers Development Award, this new romantic musical is the story of an Italian-American factory worker on Staten Island in 1956. Buddy has always wanted his own business- a bar where he can sing his heart out to his customers. Family pressures, race relations, unexpected love, and the struggle to achieve one's dreams, all come alive in this New York premiere musical.
Buddy's Tavern will play three-performances only: Wednesday, November 13 at 8:00 p.m., Thursday, November 14 at 8:00 p.m. and Friday, November 15 at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are priced at $15.
