A starry cast will sing the songs of the Gershwins in Reprise! Broadway's Best's upcoming staged concert of My One and Only, which will be presented in Los Angeles at UCLA's Freud Playhouse from September 5th through 17th.

My One and Only will star Rachel York (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Victor/Victoria) as Edith, Vicki Lewis (Chicago, Damn Yankees) as Mickey, Betty Garrett (Follies revival, MGM's On the Town) as Madame Magix, Michael Gruber (Miss Saigon, A Chorus Line) as Billy, Clinton Derricks-Carroll (Dreamgirls) as the Right Reverend J.D. Montgomery and Larry Cedar (She Loves Me at Reprise!) as Prince Nicolai.

"The scene is New York, the time is the twenties and the music is Gershwin! The romance between an adventurous aviator and an English Channel swimmer sets the stage for nonstop fun in this rousing musical, filled with exuberant, show-stopping dance numbers," state Reprise! notes. The score features "S'Wonderful," "Nice Work If You Can Get It," "I Can't Be Bothered Now," "How Long Has This Been Going On,: "Strike Up The Band," and many more.

My One and Only, which features a book by Peter Stone and Timothy S. Mayer, will be directed and choreographed by Dan Mojica, and will feature musical direction by Gerald Sternbach.

The musical opened on Broadway on May 1st, 1983 to play for 767 performances at the St. James Theatre.  It starred Twiggy and Tommy Tune, who also staged the show with Thommie Walsh.  Tune won Tony Awards as Best Actor and Best Choreographer.
