'Xanadu' Offers 'Skate to Xanadu' Program, May 14

Xanadu.bmp" vspace="10" width="300"/>Producers Robert Ahrens, Dan Vickery, Tara Smith, Brian Swibel, Sara Murchison , Dale Smith and Rollerblade USA have just announced a new program, Skate to Xanadu. In celebration of the Box Office opening of Xanadu, the first 200 people who skate or wear '80s inspired clothing to Box Office on Monday, May 14, starting at 10AM, will receive a $19.80 ticket, commemorating the year that the Olivia Newton-John film was released. There is a limit of two tickets per person. Tickets go on sale when the box office opens at noon, and the special offer ends at 2PM. Those without skates or costumes will be able to purchase tickets at half-price ($49, limit two per person), and refreshments and live entertainment will also be provided, courtesy of Rollerblade USA.

Skate to Xanadu will continue in the upcoming months, and on the following Mondays, those who skate to the box office will be able to purchase tickets, for $49, with a limit of two per person. June 4, June 25, July 16, July 30, August 20, September 10 and October 1.

Xanadu starts previews on Wednesday, May 23, and opens on Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at Broadway's Helen Hayes Theatre (240 West 44th Street). During previews, the show will run Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8PM; Saturday at 2PM; and Sunday at 3PM.

On Wednesday, June 27, 2007 the schedule will change to Tuesday at 7PM; Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8PM; Wednesday and Saturday at 2PM; and Sunday at 3PM.

Tickets range from $41.25-$111.25, including all facility fees, and will be available online at Telecharge.com and via telephone at (212) 239-6200 beginning on Saturday, April 21.  A limited number of onstage seats and will be available at the box office only for $41.25.  Student seats will be available for $26.25 day-of and at the box office only.
