The Wyoming Shakespeare Festival company will present King Lear tomorrow, July 13 in Casper City Park at 6:00pm. The produciton, which is being directed by Diane Springford, is free and open to the public with donations accepted.
Shakespeare's early 1600s classic tragedy focuses on King Lear's descent into madness after foolishly disposing of his estate between two of his three daughters based on their flattery, bringing tragic consequences for all. The play is based on the legend of Leir of Britain, a mythological pre-Roman Celtic king.
