NO ENTRANCE examines the consequences of the choices people make. Through a confluence of learned behavioral patterns, each character struggles with their own obligations, responsibilities and desires. This struggle manifests itself in the concept of duty; the duty of a mother, a wife, a soldier, a Catholic, a husband, a sister, a son. And only when this concept is challenged does the emotional core of each character become exposed. The cast NO ENTRANCE features Rena Burger, Christopher Cole, Alison Edwards, Emily Loeb, Matthew Stapleton and Jacob Troy.Alec Gutherz (Playwright, Producer) was born and raised in New York City. He is a co-founder of WritersBloc Productions. Last year his one-act version of No Entrance was performed at The Bridge Showcase Theatre. Two of his plays, Dad’s Day and Another One Darling were selected for the PlayGround Development Series at the Manhattan Theatre Source in 2006. Alec graduated from McGill University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Commerce in Strategic Management and Organizational Behavior. He is a member of the Dramatists Guild.Videos
