The World of Art Showcase (WOAS), an international art show dedicated to exhibiting talented artists and creating a community where artists have direct access to their market, has announced that Joseph and Sharon DiGiulio will exhibit their works at the inaugural event Friday, Nov. 1 through Sunday, Nov. 3 at the Raleigh Convention Center, located at 500 S. Salisbury Street. The DiGiulios, married professional artists, will display pieces that demonstrate their years of experience and expertise in acrylics, collage, mixed media and encaustic through their presentations at the showcase.

Joseph DiGiulio is a professional abstract painter from Raleigh and is the educational accounts manager and executive artist for Jerry's Artarama, a leading retailer for artist materials and a sponsor of the WOAS. He has a degree in art education and a minor in sculpture from East Carolina University and previously worked in the textile screen printing industry and owned a printing business that catered to clients including Philip Morris, Pepsi Cola, Adidas and Banana Republic. He offers free art lessons online and has produced eight DVDs highlighting his teaching skills in abstract painting and product usage. An award-winning artist, Joseph has most recently produced large-scale abstract acrylic paintings that reflect his use of color, line, shape and texture. Joseph's recent installations are located at Duke Raleigh Hospital and the PNC Plaza building in downtown Raleigh. As a cancer survivor, he produces art with the expression of color and dynamics that capture the success of his recovery.

Sharon DiGiulio is an award-winning artist and instructor. She holds a degree in fine and applied arts with a concentration in printmaking from Central Michigan University and has worked as a graphic designer. She began painting 13 years ago and mainly works in acrylic and collage. In addition, she enjoys experimenting with mediums and processes, including taking photographs, sewing, making stamps, and creating papers and fabrics to use in her projects.

About World of Art Showcase:
The World of Art Showcase (WOAS), sponsored by Jerry's Artarama, is an international art show dedicated to exhibiting talented artists and creating a community where artists have direct access to their market. The inception of WOAS arose from a desire to redefine the role art plays in our society - to get back to the grassroots of what art stands for and to revolutionize the way the art market functions. Aligning its vision with that of the Raleigh Arts Commission in transforming the "City of Oaks" into the "Creative Capital of the South" WOAS will host its inaugural event at the Raleigh Convention Center the first weekend in November. Audience members will have the opportunity to attend receptions, artist lectures, panel discussions, live art demonstrations and more.
