Writer and Performer Alexandra LaPlante workshops her indelicate new play, Unconventionally Intimate, in a gorgeous Soho loft on Friday, January 19th at 7:30pm. Tickets are $12. Following the play, there will be a post show discussion and social hour with wine and beer.
Alexandra LaPlante is a fearless woman who loves falling in love. And she's done a lot of it. With men, with women, with men and women. On land, in the Hudson, and in sex clubs from NYC to Berlin. Unconventionally Intimate is the startlingly honest telling of her real life experiences discovering what is possible when you throw traditional expectations out of the window.
"I'm really passionate about space driven theatre" said director Brooke M. Haney. "After workshopping Unconventionally Intimate at the Music Hall the past May, we discovered that it really fits in a living room setting" she continued, "so I'm thrilled that we're going to be presenting it in an actual living room." "The last workshops taught us so much" said playwright/performer LaPlante. "We were able to take the feedback and questions and rewrite the script. I'm so excited to share this draft."
The loft exact address will be given out to tickets buyers.
