What's the first thing you do when you arrive to the theatre?
I go straight to my dressing room when I first arrive at the theater to play music. Right now, it's a Rihanna, Beyonce, Jhené Aiko, and Jasmine Sullivan - its a playlist that I curated for my pre-show vibe boost.
What's the last thing you do before you go on stage?
The last thing I do before I walk on stage is fist-pump the stagehands with my cast mate, Jeff Heimbrock. We wish each other a good show.
What's your must-have backstage snack?
I don't snack during the show. I usually have a massive meal after my big scene in Governor's Mansion, but I'm always sucking on a Ricola.
Pre-show ritual that others may think is weird?
Well, I love a little dance party, but this is only if no one else is in the room because things can get weird.
What are five must-haves in your dressing room?
5 dressing room must-haves: Photo of my fiancé Zach, my steamer, a backup outfit in the event I decide to go out after the show, Ricola, and water.
What's your favorite moment from the show to watch from the wings?
My favorite scene to watch from the wing is Ozdust Ballroom. I'm actually on stage, but I'm doing very little on the side. The ensemble kills that number every night. I have the best seat in the house to enjoy one of the most exciting dance numbers in the show.
What has been your favorite backstage moment in your time with this show so far?
My favorite moment backstage so far is talking with Bill Youmans. He originated the role of Doctor Dillamond and he has a bevy of knowledge and stories about Wicked and the business in general.
