The 2012 Academy Award for Writing (Original Screenplay) has been awarded to Woody Allen for the film 'Midnight in Paris.'

Allen is an iconic writer, director, actor, comedian, and musician. He performed in Play It Again, Sam on Broadway. He has written numerous books and plays including Don't Drink the Water, The Floating Light Bulb, Play It Again, Sam, Relatively Speaking, Bullets Over Broadway, and From A to Z

'Midnight in Paris' is a romantic comedy that follows a family travelling to the city for business. The party includes a young engaged couple that has their lives transformed throughout the journey. The film celebrates a young man's great love for Paris, and simultaneously explores the illusion people have that a life different from their own is better.
