The WonderLand One-Act Festival kicked off May 24 and runs through June 8 at the Studio Theatre on Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street).  The elimination rounds are determined by a committee of theatre industry professionals (producers, agents, managers).  Only ten plays will be selected to move on to the next level, the Merry Go Round, on June 7 and the final three will be featured in the Free Fall round on June 8.  There will be a special awards ceremony this Saturday evening, June 9, where one play will win the top honor of Best Production and that playwright will receive a $1,000 grand prize.

In addition to the play competition rounds, the WonderLand One-Act Festival features a lineup of industry guest speakers comprising the Seminar Sideshow series.  Topics to be covered range from "How to Get Your Play Published" to "How to Have a Winning Headshot."  Questions will be taken from the audience.  All seminars are at noon and are free of charge.  The remaining speakers are:

June 6 – Literary Manager Peter Miller
June 7 – Headshot/Theatrical Photographer Mickey Pantano
June 8 – Production Photographer Trevor Oswalt

The Studio Theatre and its lobby have been transformed into a festive carnival atmosphere for the WonderLand One-Act Festival, featuring games, raffles and other surprises.  Tickets are $18 for all of the play presentations, each featuring two or three one-acts.   Tickets are available through TicketCentral.com 212-279-4200.  For a complete list of showtimes or to RSVP for the Seminar Sideshow series, visit www.youarehereproductions.com.
