FORECAST:

Weather.com writes:

Tuesday: Peak impacts from Juno continue throughout the day over parts of southern and eastern New England. Travel will continue to be dangerous or impossible. Intense snowfall rates continue through the morning in parts of New Jersey and the New York City area, but snow should diminish or even end by sunset there.

Tuesday night through Wednesday: Snow and wind continues in New England, winding down from south to north by Wednesday early morning.


WHAT'S ON:

The Broadway League has announced this morning that most Broadway shows will give regularly scheduled performances tonight, Tuesday, January 27.

The list of shows scheduled to go on include:

  • A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder
  • Beautiful: The Carole King Musical
  • The Book of Mormon
  • Cabaret
  • Chicago
  • Constellations
  • The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time
  • Disgraced
  • The Elephant Man
  • Hedwig and the Angry Inch
  • Honeymoon in Vegas
  • If/Then
  • It's Only a Play
  • Jersey Boys
  • Kinky Boots
  • Les Miserables
  • Matilda The Musical
  • On the Town
  • The Phantom of the Opera
  • The River
  • Wicked
  • You Can't Take It With You

The Broadway League issued the following statement this morning:

"Most shows will go on as scheduled tonight. For those who are staying in hotels and can't get home, it's a great time to see a show. As always, the safety and security of theatregoers and employees is everyone's primary concern, so those who can't get in to the city should contact their point of purchase for questions about exchange or refund policies."

-Performances continue as scheduled tonight at Birdland and Joe's Pub.

CANCELLATIONS:

Actors' Equity Association has issued the following announcement on cancelled auditions:

"AEA's NY OFFICE and AUDITION CENTER will be CLOSED for business on TUESDAY, JANUARY 27. As a result, the following auditions have been CANCELLED:

OUTSIDE MULLINGAR -- NYC EPA

OGUNQUIT PLAYHOUSE -- 2015 Seasonal EPA Other off-site Equity auditions remain scheduled as planned, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF:

DIRTY DANCING -- NYC Equity Chorus Call/Dancers

THE SOUND OF MUSIC -- NYC EPA

The following audition will be in effect:

SACRAMENTO MUSIC CIRCUS EPA will now run 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. (AEA monitor will facilitate the sign-up at 11:00am).

Please check CASTING CALL and the NYC Audition Hotline (877-232-1913, ext. 831) for full details, updates and further schedule changes that may impact auditions on Wednesday, January 28 and the remainder of the week."

- Due to the blizzard, 59E59 Theaters will remain closed on Tuesday, January 27. All Tuesday evening shows are cancelled. Tuesday evening ticket holders should contact their point of purchase, Ticket Central, on 212-279-4200. 59E59 Members should contact the Member: E:Line 212-753-5959 ext 104.

- All shows at 54 Below on Tuesday are cancelled.


TRANSIT:

Subway services have re-opened, and the travel ban has been lifted. Subways will be running on weekend service today, and will return to weekday service tomorrow.

All MTA Bridge and Tunnel Facilities have been reopened. Due to roadway conditions motorists are asked to drive at reduced speeds.
