'Dancing With The Stars' contestant Marissa Jaret Winokur will be moving to daytime television sometime in the fall of the 2009, recent reports are stating. After many offers, Sony Pictures Television was the one to seal the deal. Sony Pictures was behind the daytime sucess of Ricky Lake in the 90's. Ironically, Ms. Lake has also played Tracy Turnblad in 'Hairspray'- the role that Winokur received a Tony for.

According to Variety, "Gabber is the first big project for new Sony reality/syndication chief Holly Jacobs, who joined the company in January after a run at Fox TV Studios. Jacobs has plenty of experience with syndie launches, having opened Buena Vista's Wayne Brady gabber and the half-hour version of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire."

In addition to her Tony for 'Hairspray' Winokur has appeared in 'Stacked' and 'Shrek The Halls'

She is currently blogging about her journey on 'Dancing With The Stars' exclusively for BroadwayWorld.com.
