Winners Of 72nd NY Drama Critics' Circle Awards Announced 5/4

The winners of the 72nd Annual New York Drama Critics' Circle awards will be announced on May 4th during a cocktail reception at the Algonquin Hotel.

A group of critics will meet and select the winners at this time.

The NY Drama Critics' Circle includes 21 drama critics from the New York area. The Circle was founded in 1935 and the first meeting consisted of nine critics.

Past 'Best Play' Awards have gone to The Coast of Utopia (2006-2007) and The History Boys (2005-2006). This award comes with a cash prize, with a smaller cash award going to best American or Foreign play.
