Actor/director and noted August Wilson interpreter Ruben Santiago-Hudson directs a revival staging of Wilson's JITNEY tonight as part of a live webcast series presenting the ten 20th century cycle plays by the two-time Pulitzer-winner, following successful presentations of Ma Rainey'S BLACK BOTTOM and FENCES last month as well as JOE TURNER'S COME AND GONE, THE PIANO LESSON, TWO TRAINS RUNNING and SEVEN GUITARS so far this month.

The official description of JITNEY is as follows: "Jitney is set in a worn-down gypsy cab station in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in early autumn 1977. It tells the story of men hustling to make a living as jitneys, unofficial and unlicensed taxi cabs."

Ruben Santiago-Hudson's production of JITNEY stars Amari Cheatom, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Anthony Chisholm, Harvy Blanks, Barry Shabaka Henley, Ray Anthony Thomas, Roscoe Orman, J. Bernard Calloway and Joaquina Kalukango.
