Playscripts, Inc. has announced that William Repicci has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer. The news comes in a year when the company has doubled its staff and added a marketing department to meet demand and expand promotion of its catalog of plays and musicals.

Prior to being named Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Repicci has served as Playscripts' General Manager since January 2009. His background includes twenty years as a producer and general manager in New York with over 35 productions spanning Broadway, Off Broadway, and London. His credits include the Off Broadway musical, "Swingtime Canteen," which he also co-authored. He has been the managing director of companies such as The National Theatre of the Deaf and ArcLight Theatre. In 2005 he closed his New York Production Office and spent the next few years directing humanitarian projects in Kenya and Cambodia. As for his decision to re-enter theater he says, "It was an inspired opportunity to work with the most innovative and forward-thinking company made up of writers and artists." As CEO, Mr. Repicci replaces co-founder Jonathan Rand who maintains his active role as board Vice President.
