As BroadwayWorld reported yesterday, Tony Award nominee Ramin Karimloo will perform as Jean Valjean through the end of the summer in Cameron Mackintosh's acclaimed new production of Boublil & Schönberg's Les Miserables, at The Imperial Theatre (249 West 45th Street). He wrote yesterday on his official Facebook page: "Update. I shall be going AWOL July 27-Aug 3. Back into civilization and Les Mis Aug 4. And I believe my final show is Aug 30. #‎2460done"

Now, a Facebook fan page has started titled "Bring Adam Pascal to Les Miserables." Pascal himself wrote: Hey everyone so there is now the possibility that this could happen this fall now that Ramin is exiting! I have no idea if this fan page can have any effect on the decision but if we get those likes up you never know:)"

How do you think Pascal would do as Jean Valjean?

In 1996, Adam tried out for the then unknown, off-Broadway production of Rent. He landed the role of Roger Davis, and was nominated for a 1996 Tony Award as Best Actor (Musical), and won a Drama League and Obie award for his performance as Roger. In 2000, Adam was cast as Radames in Elton John and Tim Rice's new Broadway musical Aida, for which he received a Drama League award. In May of 2000, his debut solo album, Model Prisoner, was released on Sh-K-Boom Records. Also in 2000, Adam co-produced the hit off-Broadway play Fully Committed with fellow former Rent cast member, Jesse L. Martin. In October 2003, Adam once again visited the Broadway stage, this time, asked to be the final Emcee in the Sam Mendes/Rob Marshall production of Cabaret at Studio 54, as part of the closing cast. In 2008, Adam played the role of Freddie Trumper in the Tim Rice/Abba Musical Chess, alongside Josh Groban, and Idina Menzel for two sold out performances at The Royal Albert Hall, in London. In 2010/11 Adam starred as Huey Calhoun in Broadway's Tony Award winning musical Memphis and in 2013 Adam starred as Billy Flynn in Broadway's long running hit Chicago.

This newly-reimagined production of Les Miserables opened on Broadway March 23, 2014 to critical acclaim. International productions of the new Les Miserables have met with equal success and acclaim in the U.K., France, Spain, Japan and Korea and Australia. This new version of Les Miserables, which premiered in the U.K. in 2009, inspired filmmakers to make the immensely successful Oscar/Golden Globe/BAFTA-winning movie.

Based on Victor Hugo's classic novel, Les Miserables is an epic and uplifting story about the survival of the human spirit. The magnificent score includes the classic songs "I Dreamed a Dream," "On My Own," "Stars," "Bring Him Home," "Do You Hear the People Sing?," "One Day More," "Empty Chairs at Empty Tables," "Master Of The House" and many more.
