Michael Riedel of the New York Post has reported that the long-awaited Hal Prince musical retrospective, Prince of Broadway, may make its Broadway premiere next season.

The autobiographical retrospective features numbers from the catalog of classic shows Prince either produced or directed, including "West Side Story," "Fiddler on the Roof," "Cabaret," "Company," "Follies," "Sweeney Todd" and "The Phantom of the Opera." The show had a well-received run during it's most recent tryout in Japan, which encouraged the production team to pursue a possible Broadway transfer.

Sources close to the production predict a limited engagement at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre next fall. If the run proves successful "Hamilton" producer, Jeffery Seller, who is quietly involved with the production, will attempt to move the show to a different Broadway house to continue the run.
