Rumor has it that Nerds mights be heading to Broadway! The musical has listed Broadway's Longacre Theatre as its address on its official Facebook page, and with Allegiance closing on February 14, the show could be aiming to open in the spring season. The musical was most recently presented in two workshop productions last spring, helmed by Casey Hushion (ELF), and with choreography by Josh Bergasse ("Smash", ON THE TOWN). An official announcement has not yet been made.
The Spring 2015 labs starred Charlie Pollock (VIOLET), Wesley Taylor ("Smash"), Patti Murin (LYSISTRATA JONES), Kevin Pariseau (LEGALLY BLONDE), Rob Morrison, Lauren Molina (The Skivvies, ROCK OF AGES, SWEENEY TODD) and Benny Elledge (CHICAGO). Pollock, Taylor, Molina, Pariseau and Elledge previously participated in a concert version of NERDS at 54 Below in summer 2014.

Written by multiple Emmy Award Nominees Jordan Allen-Dutton and Erik Weiner (Adult Swim's "Robot Chicken", BOMBITTY OF ERRORS), with a score by Hal Goldberg (THE CHILDREN), NERDS is described as: "Before Bill Gates and Steve Jobs were the undisputed titans of technology, they were Nerds. Join America's favorite geeks -- from garage inventors to Silicon Valley mega-billionaires -- on a hilarious musical journey from the floppy disc era to the iPhone phenomenon."
NERDS was first presented by the Philadelphia Theatre Company in 2007, where it received Barrymore Awards for Outstanding Original Music and Outstanding New Play. In 2013, the show played limited engagements at North Carolina Theatre and again at Philadelphia Theater Company.
