There are few stores for designer jewelry accessories that offer either the approachability or assortment available in the garment world. New York-based designer jewelry trunk show group, Whitespace Brooklyn, is serious about changing that.
By working directly with studios and designers, as well as buying from private clients, Whitespace is able to offer new and previously enjoyed designer jewelry in what has been previously a small and closed market. While global rock and gothic jewelry brands such as Chrome Hearts, Enfants Perdus, and David Yurman have been available on Japanese sites such as Rakuten, the American demand for a venue offering high-end, luxury designer jewelry has remained largely unserved until now.
“The traditional retail world of jewelry hasn’t picked up the demand for design-conscious consumers,” says Whitespace founder, Mengyin Huang. “There’s been no one place in New York that you can walk into and find anything from an Ugo Cacciatori skull pendant, a Chrome Hearts ring, and an Enfants Perdus gothic cross. You’d have to fly to Italy, Los Angeles, and Toronto in the same day to get this kind of selection in sterling silver and 18 karat gold jewelry.”
Whitespace Brooklyn services clients through private viewings and trunk shows, offering a wide range of world renowned designer jewelry brands including Chrome Hearts, Enfants Perdus, Ugo Cacciatori, Crazy Pig, David Yurman, King Baby, Vivienne Westwood, Starlingear, and Royal Order.
