White Plains Performing Arts Center Announces CATS Cast

The White Plains Performing Arts Center (WPPAC) will present the classic all singing, all dancing Andrew Lloyd Webber musical CATS beginning on December 9, 2011.

CATS is directed by Jeremy Quinn with co-direction and choreography by Greg Baccarini.

The cast includes Laura Cable, Michael Clement, George H. Croom, Lexie Fennell Frare, Jennifer Jonas, Lauren Kay, MaryElisabeth Kimbark, Valerie Larsen, John Anthony Lopez, Logan Rose Nelms, Joel Pellini, DJ Petrosino, David Raimo, Carrie Silvernail, Matthew J. Taylor, Matthew Tiberi, Jonathan Tylicki and Devon Yates.

Creative team includes Musical Direction by Kurt Kelley, Scenic Design by Joseph J. Egan, Costume Design by Linda Morken and Lighting Design by Andrew Gmoser.

Based on “Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats” and other poems by T.S. Eliot, the musical takes place in a junkyard where the local cats are auditioning to be chosen by their leader, Old Deuteronomy, to journey to the Heaviside Lair to be reborn. In the end, the former glamour cat, Grizabella, now a disheveled outcast is chosen by Deuteronomy to receive the prized additional life. CATS is the second longest running show on Broadway and was the winner of seven 1983 Tony Awards including Best Musical.

CATS will be live on stage December 9 -18 (Friday & Saturday evenings at 8PM; Saturday & Sunday matinees at 2PM) and December 28-30 (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday at 2PM & 7PM).
