TONY DANZA
Tommy Korman

Perhaps best known for starring on some of television's most beloved and long-running series, including "Taxi" and "Who's the Boss?" Tony Danza has indisputably been one of America's most iconic television, film, and stage stars for over 30 years. Among Tony's stage credits is his exciting run on Broadway in Mel Brooks's hit musical The Producers, playing Max Bialystock, his theatrical debut in Wrong Turn at Lungfish (1993), which earned him an Outer Critics Circle Award nomination, the critically acclaimed The Iceman Cometh, opposite Kevin Spacey, and Arthur Miller's Tony Award winning play, A View from the Bridge. Danza's big-screen credits include roles in Walt Disney's Angels in the Outfield, She's Out of Control, The Hollywood Knights, A Brooklyn State of Mind, and the critically acclaimed Don Jon. Danza most recently received critical acclaim when he originated the role of Tommy Korman in Honeymoon In Vegas for the shows' pre-Broadway run at the Paper Mill Playhouse. According to the New York Times, his performance embodied the "the cooler-than-cool spirit" of Frank Sinatra. In 2009, Danza took on his most challenging and rewarding role, teaching 10th grade English. He wrote about his experience in his New York Times best-selling book, entitled I'd Like To Apologize To Every Teacher I Ever Had: My Year As a Rookie Teacher at Northeast High. Danza has received numerous notable awards in recognition for his philanthropic efforts, including recent honors from the state of New York, USA Today, and AARP. He is a regular volunteer and mentor at the New York City All Stars, Voices Against Brain Cancer, sits on the board of the New York City Police Athletic League, and participates regular in charity efforts in the NYC area.
