Westwood Gallery will present a solo exhibition by New York artist Will Insley. ONECITY, envisioned by Insley, is a 675 mile square architectural labyrinth of mythology buried in the central North American plains. Through drawings, paintings, and photomontage the artists created a civilization based on his written manuscript leading to the concept of ONECITY. For over forty years, Insley created this ongoing project which was exhibited at the Guggenheim Museum, NYC in 1984.
Westwood Gallery will exhibit 33 works of art by Insley. The artist's work is in the collection of over 100 museums, including Museum of Modern art, NYC, Solomon Guggenheim Museum, NYC Whitney Museum of American Art, NYC, Albright Museum of Contemporary Art, Ridgefield, CT, as well as Kunsthalle Basel and the Foundation Maeght, St. Paul-de-Vence, France.
