Westport Cast to Reprise Roles in World Premiere of A.R. Gurney's LOVE & MONEY Off-Broadway

Casting is set for Signature Theatre's world premiere of A.R. Gurney's new play Love & Money, directed by Mark Lamos. The production runs August 15 to September 27, 2015 with an August 24, 2015 opening night in The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). The show is a co-production with Westport Country Playhouse.

The cast includes Maureen Anderman (pictured, left) as Cornelia Cunningham, Gabriel Brown as Walker "Scott" Williams, Pamela Dunlap as Agnes Munger, Kahyun Kim as Jessica Worth and Joe Paulik as Harvey Abel.

The design team includes Michael Yeargan (Scenic Design), Jess Goldstein (Costume Design), Stephen Strawbridge (Lighting Design), John Gromada (Sound Design). Matthew Melchiorre is the Production Stage Manager. Casting by Telsey + Company, Will Cantler, CSA.

Determined to donate almost everything she owns before her life of grace and privilege ends, wealthy widow Cornelia Cunningham's plan hits a snag when an ambitious and ingratiating young man arrives to claim his alleged inheritance. Residency One playwright A.R. Gurney paints an incisive and hysterical portrait of the trials of class, family, legacy and race in this world premiere comedy.

Love & Money is a co-production with Westport Country Playhouse, where the production will play July 21 to August 8, 2015.

There will be post-show talkbacks on August 18 along with September 3, 10, and 15. Talkbacks brought to you by American Express. Other supplemental programming includes a pre-show Page to Stage discussion with A.R. Gurney and Mark Lamos on August 19 and a pre-show Backstage Pass event, featuring members of the creative team, on September 2. Additionally, Signature's Book Club will feature The Great Gatsby, an exciting companion to Gurney's newest comedy, and will meet on August 27.

Tickets to the initial runs of all Signature productions at The Pershing Square Signature Center are $25, part of the groundbreaking Signature Ticket Initiative: A Generation of Access, a program that guarantees affordable and accessible tickets to every Signature production through 2031. At the Center, opened in January 2012, Signature continues its founding Playwright-in-Residence model as Residency One, a first-of-its-kind, intensive exploration of a single writer's body of work. Residency Five, the only program of its kind, was launched at the Center to support multiple playwrights as they build bodies of work by guaranteeing each writer three productions over a five-year period.
