Hudson Stage, Westchester's premier professional theatre in residence at Pace University, has announced its upcoming fall season.
The fall mainstage production will be the world premiere of
Manhattan Casanova, "a dazzling and witty romantic comedy about compulsive seduction, love in the time of cyberspace, and meeting one's match." The show is written by
Jenny Lyn Bader, whose plays
None of the Above and
Out of Mind were recently produced in past seasons. The show will be directed by Richard Caliban.
Manhattan Casanova runs October 27th-November 11th, for a limited run on weekends only: Friday and Saturday at 8 with a Sunday matinee at 3 on October 29th and November 5th. There is an additional performance Saturday, November 11th at 3. Tickets are $25, with $5 discounts for seniors and students. Pace students get an additional $5 discount.
The theatre's staged reading series at Croton Free Library (171 Cleveland Drive, Croton on Hudson, NY) will commence with Jeffrey Hatcher's two-hander
Mercy of a Storm. The reading will be Friday, Sept. 15th at 7:30. It is free to the public with a Q&A following. Call 914-271-6612 for more information.
The staged reading series will continue Friday, December 8th at 7:30 with a reading of
Modern Entrepreneur by Westchester playwright Jeff Wanshel. The reading will be at Woodward Hall Theatre, Pace University (235 Elm Road, Briarcliff Manor, NY). Tickets are $10.00, or free for Pace students.
