A WONDERFUL LIFE

Book and lyrics by Sheldon Harnick and Music by Joe Raposo.

A terrific musical with a lot of heart and good-natured optimism, based on the classic Frank Capra film starring Jimmy Stewart.  Set in 1945, It tells the story of George Bailey,  an average Joe who spends a lifetime sacrificing his own ambitions for the sake of others and continually setting aside his own dreams in order to keep his late father’s building and loan business afloat.  When a greedy banker manufactures a scandal that threatens to send him to jail, George is crushed and contemplates suicide. A wingless guardian angel, to convince him of his own worth,  reveals to him how different the world, and everyone whose life he has touched, would be had he never been born..

MESHUGGAH NUNS!

By Dan Goggin

Those Little Sisters of Hoboken are at it again! The fifth edition of the popular Nunsense series finds the fun-loving nuns on the USS Golden Delicious for a "Faith of all Nations" world cruise. When the cast of “Fiddler on the Roof” (with the exception of the guy playing Tevye) gets seasick, the ship’s captain asks the sisters and Tevye to put on a show. And what a show! Hilarity reigns supreme on the high seas with songs like Say It In Yiddish, Contrition, In the Convent, and If I Were a Catholic. Meshuggah-Nuns is an ecumenical fun-fest. You don’t have to be Catholic. You don’t have to be Jewish. This is a show for anyone who loves a good laugh!   2/12/09-3/21/09
