Weiner's 'Brother's Keeper' Plays Off-Bway Nov. 2-19

Marcus Productions and The Playwrights' Gate will present Brother's Keeper, written and directed by Marc Weiner, November 2nd through the 19th at Theater 3. The production will feature original jazz music by the Flying Nutrinos.

Brother's Keeper is, "The story of two sisters who must work together to take care of their mentally challenged brother after their mother dies. Each battles her own demons, deals with her own guilt, and tries to come to terms with the reality that is their brother, David."

Playwright Marc Weiner has directed over 25 shows. His own plays include Un Civil Servants, Pot Luck, and Baby Dear. Marc was originally a dancer, working with the acclaimed Brooklyn company Spoke the Hub Dancing, and studied jazz with the famed Luigi.

Featured in the AEA Showcase Production are Adam Murphy, Mariessa Portelance, Stephanie Roy, Gregg Thornsbury, and Emily Ward.
 
Brother's Keeper plays Thursday through Saturday at 8 PM, with matinees Saturday and Sunday at 2 PM from November 2nd through the 19th.
